Hey, I'm able to start some training modes, but some crashes still on launch. And Free roam always crashes on launch with different pop-up errors such as,
1. nD3D11Texture::CreateFromFile(): Unable to load file ' texturesdds::universal/industrial/paltte_bump.tga.dds'

2. nD3D11Texture::CreateFromFile(): Unable to load file 'texturesdds:/cars/Car136/Car136_bumpDamaged.tga.dds'

3. nD3D11Texture::CreateFromFile(): Unable to load file 'texturesdds:/cars/Car136/Car136_bump_x0.tga.dds'

I've not added any mods and neither any graphic packs.
My system; Acer nitro 5
Graphics card: GTX 1650 Ti

I tried to reinstall the game with deleting forward developments in the documents, but nothing resolved the problem

Hi,

As warned when purchasing the game, there is no guarantee it will work properly on laptops.

You can try these steps:

1. If your PC has both – discrete and integrated video cards, then maybe the game uses the integrated one for some reason. Try forcing the game to the dedicated one – right click on the game shortcut and select Run with GPU <your dedicated video card>. Or if you don’t have this option in the context menu, you can follow these advices – www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/

2. Install DirectX and Visual C++ components from this folder manually, go to this folder -
"...Steam\steamapps\common\City Car Driving\_CommonRedist\" and install all the components from there.

In some cases this folder can be located in a different place - "... Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared".

3. Update your video card driver to the latest version from your video card manufacturer's website.

4. Update your sound card driver to the latest version from your sound card manufacturer's website.

5. If you're using a racing wheel (or any other controller), update its driver to the latest version from your controller manufacturer's website.

6. Turn off any antivirus or firewall software.

7. Check the game cache integrity in Steam client.

8. Turn off the Steam cloud profile synchronization for City Car Driving – open your Steam client, click on City Car Driving with right mouse button and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Then open the tab “Updates” and there turn off the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for City Car Driving”.

9. Delete the folder "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.

Then run the game again.

Hey, thank you soo much for the quick reply but I'm still having some problems.

1. I can't find City car driving to manually change the video card by even following the manual steps.
2. I did install DirectX and Visual C++
5. I don't use racing wheel.
6. turned off all of my antivirus
7. Cleared the cache, uninstalled the game and reinstalled it.
8. I can't find "Enable steam cloud synchronization" anywhere on the updates section. (File attached)

I'm still updating my video card driver and sound card driver

Thank you soo much for the help, I didn't realize that after some restarts and deleting forward development folder couple of times, will fix the problem. maybe it's the cache problems.
Again, thank you soo much!

I'm having this same issue.

I've tried it on multiple computers but they are all laptops, so I understand I may not be eligible for full customer support here. However, I have been running the game solely on laptops for over five years. I'm curious if there is something special about laptops, that they cannot run the game?

Hello,

Please note that laptops (any) and computers with integrated video cards are not officially supported. And they've never been supported, what was stated in our system requirements.

You can try advices below, but we cannot guarantee correct game working on laptops or computers with integrated graphics.
