I found a mod that I was willing to downgrade for and its formatted as a compressed file mod. I have watched lots of videos on how to install the mod, but when I do what they do the game acts as if nothing happened: There was no change in the game when selecting a car.

Can someone please guide me through how to install the mod?

.zip is a compressed archive file. You should unzip it first.

You need winrar or something like that to open it. You need to open with (and then whatever software you have downloaded to open the file) then you need to extract it if it is a PKG file to downloads or a file like that .
